My first KnitCrate Delivery – The Knitted Daxis Shawl Pattern

The beautiful Daxis Shawl designed by Pariser Landluft turned out to be an amazing piece!

The pattern, designed for beginners, was super easy to follow and definitely provided some much-needed relaxation for me at the end of a busy workday. Warning to all those who like instant gratification – this is not a quick project.  It takes time, kind of like my Bertha Blanket. I didn’t calculate how many stitches are in this piece, but let’s just say A LOT.  That’s what makes it so cool!

I knit this piece using La Brebis Marled Sock Yarn – a fingering weight yarn from KnitCrate. I got to work using my size U.S. 4 (3.5mm) needles, The piece, knit flat, actually starts from one corner and increases by one every knit row on one side.  This results in a triangle shape, but not a square triangle. So clever!

Here are some photos of my Daxis Shawl. I know I’ll be wearing this a lot this fall.
