Lion Brand’s Captivating Cowl

May 20, 2017

Oh Lion Brand. I love your yarn.

The Captivating Cowl is knit using one of my favorite yarns – Heartland. This free pattern published by Lion Brand was on the label of a skein that was given to me  by my daughter, who knows how much I love to knit!

I really enjoyed making this and although it’s summer now, I’m tucking it away for the fall, when I will most likely give it to her to wear. But it will always be with me on this blog as one of the things I made and put my heart into.

  • Lion Brand Heartland Yarn – I used “Grand Canyon”. The pattern calls for two skeins. I used just over one. I will definitely add the remainder to my stash 🙂

Oh….I would much better do it in the round on circular needles instead of having the
not such a pretty seam…..can you give a hint how to do that??

Thanks for your comment Mary. And hey, I thought my seam looked pretty good. But I yes I do know what you mean. If you had the right length of circular needles and added a place marker so you knew where the beginning was and changed the pattern instructions so you knit every row then yes you could knit this without a seam. 🙂

I will give it a try and let you know how it works out!!
