So my husband, Chris, sees me knitting and crocheting in the evenings while watching TV together and I’m usually making something for myself or for someone else… so I asked him last week– would you like me to make you something? Without hesitating he says, yes. I’d like a hat…. so I ask him to pick a color, showed him a few ideas and then set to work on the Strib Hat, by Kelly Williams on Ravelry.
I used my size 8 US / 5mm double pointed bamboo needles (LOVE THEM), and purchased a skein of Lionbrand “Heartland” worsted weight yarn in “Yosemite”. Then went to my stash to find a brown and another orange (with Chris’ approval) and set to work.
I’m very pleased with the result, and had fun knitting this up in just a couple of evenings. The only thing I wish I had done different was to cast on more tightly. Well, since I’ve only used about half of the skein I purchase I think I just may make another one for me!
