The Lady Soul Sweater Knitting Pattern

July 25, 2020

The Lady Soul Sweater knitting pattern designed by Wool and the Gang is such a fun project to do! I came across the tutorial on CreativeBug.com and fell in love. Who doesn’t love a cool, classic, simple, and sophisticated piece that is easy and fun to knit? Don’t be intimidated by the sleeve cables, the easy-t0-follow video walks you through each step.

Here is my beautiful petite size model (and daughter) wearing the Lady Soul Sweater in a size small.

The Yarn

I used yarn from KnitCrate that I had in my stash. Specifically Vidalana Ascendance in Colorway Ancient Ruin. (100% Fine Peruvian Highland Wool Sport weight, 328 yards 9300m)/100g. Unfortunately, it is sold out, but you can substitute any other sport weight yarn. I would use Wool of the Andes Sport Weight yarn by KnitPicks.com if I were to make it again – and I will! My next version will be a size Medium, which is more my size, and I will make the collar longer. As you can see in the photos here I make more of a mock turtle neck, rather than a full rolled one.

The Essential Gauge Swatch

Be sure to check your gauge when you start! Luckily mine was exactly as the pattern indicated – so nice when that happens!
