I happened to have a beautiful skein of yarn in my stash, a gift from a #fibreshare friend on Instagram, and the desire to make something. So… I searched Ravelry to find the perfect pattern and tadaaa…. the Venetian Carnival Neckwarmer fit the bill!
This main part of the neck warmer is made up of a front and back post double crochet.
So just one skein of fingering weight yarn, 6 yummy buttons and a bit of patience and voila! You have a great gift for yourself or someone special.
You’ll find the pattern for purchase on Ravelry here: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/venetian-carnival
Here are the materials I used:
- 3.5mm (size E) Crochet Hook
- 1 skein of fingering weight yarn = 462.0 yards (422.5 meters), 100 grams
- 6 buttons
My finished piece measured 9″ x 21″ blocked. I found 6 great buttons at Joann fabrics to finish it off. Lovely!
